My wedding style is natural and rustic, with a touch of the wild. I incorporate native, seasonal blooms with delicate grasses and sprigs of blossom and berries, celebrating the naturally evolving seasons. Wedding Flowers - The Next Steps: …. What to do and when!
Having worked with people to create flowers for their special days - and planned my own wedding 25 years ago this June - I truly understand the emotional rollercoaster that you’re on! From feeling super excited and full of love, to having lots of ideas but not quite knowing where to begin, or just feeling overwhelmed with your to-do list… It's all part of the wedding journey. That’s why this guide could be really helpful for you.
Approx 12 months before your Wedding Day
By now, you’ve likely booked your venue and set the date - so it’s the perfect time to start thinking about flowers. With your colour scheme and key people in mind, you can begin to visualise what’s in season for your big day. Start by filling in my enquiry form. I’ll be in touch to arrange a relaxed chat - over a cuppa, a glass of wine, or a video call if you're further afield. I’ll ask lots of questions - not to be nosy, but to truly understand your vision so I can create floral designs that reflect your style and bring your wedding to life. If you have a mood board or Pinterest ideas, bring them along! If not, don’t worry - I’ve got plenty of inspiration to help shape your theme.
1 week after the consultation
A written quotation will be sent to you following the consultation. I will endeavour to get this to you as soon as possible, but please allow up to 7 days. Upon receipt of your quotation, please sign and return to me a copy of the Terms and Conditions. A deposit payment of 10% of the total investment in your wedding flowers will also need to be made in order to secure the date.
1 Calendar month before your wedding
The balance for your flowers will need to be settled All bouquets, button hole numbers and arrangements will need to be confirmed. All delivery times and addresses will need to be confirmed.
Your Wedding Day
Bridal / bridesmaid flowers will be delivered. Groom / groomsmen buttonholes will be delivered. All arrangements in the church / wedding venue will be installed.
If requested and priced in your quotation: Following the ceremony, Penny Petals will move milk churns, installations and arrangements from the wedding venue to the reception. Alternatively, this task can be delegated to the Groomsmen!
The day after your wedding
If priced in your quotation: If there are large installations, Penny Petals will dismantle all displays on the morning after the wedding at a mutually convenient time with Penny Petals and the Wedding Venue.
With your agreement, there is an option for these flowers to be donated to a local charity, where they will be repurposed and continue to bring joy to residents and families alike.
